Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 13th, 2025

Welcome to Roll Mobility!

This Privacy Policy describes how Roll Mobility Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application, Roll Mobility (the “App”), our website, and the services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

Your privacy is a top priority for us. We are committed to being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it to create a community-driven tool that makes the world more accessible.

1. Information We Collect

To provide and improve our Services, we collect information in a few different ways.

A. Information You Provide Directly to Us

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. You may also voluntarily add a profile picture.
  • User-Generated Content: The core of Roll Mobility is community-driven. We collect the content you create, including your reviews, accessibility ratings, comments, photos, and videos (“Contributions”). Please be aware that your Contributions, including your username and profile picture, are public by nature and will be visible to other users of the Services and the public.
  • Communications: If you contact us directly for support or other inquiries, we may keep a record of your communication and contact information.
  • Newsletter Subscription: If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter (e.g., via Beehiiv), we collect your email address to send you news and updates.

B. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the App

  • Location Data: To provide our core feature of finding and rating accessible locations, we need to know where you are. We collect your precise location data (using GPS, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks) only when you are actively using the App and have granted us permission to do so. You can disable location services at any time through your device’s settings, but this will limit the App’s core functionality.
  • Usage and Device Information: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our Services. This includes your device type, operating system, IP address, unique device identifiers, and information about the features you use, the pages you view, and the actions you take within the App (e.g., what you search for, what buttons you tap). We use this information for analytics, to improve the App, and to diagnose technical issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Services: To operate the App, display accessible locations on a map, show your Contributions, and manage your account.
  • To Power Community Features: To allow you to post reviews, join teams, and participate in leaderboards.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: To show you relevant content and suggestions based on your location and usage.
  • For Analytics and Improvement: To understand how our users interact with the App so we can fix bugs, develop new features, and improve the overall user experience.
  • To Communicate With You: To respond to your support requests, send you important updates about the Services, and, if you opt-in, deliver our newsletter.
  • For Safety and Security: To protect the integrity of our Services, prevent fraudulent activity, and enforce our terms of service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With the Public and Other Users: As mentioned above, your Contributions (reviews, photos, comments) and your public profile (username, profile picture) are visible to others. Please do not share information in your Contributions that you do not want to be made public.
  • With Service Providers: We work with third-party service providers who help us operate our Services. These include cloud hosting providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services), mapping service providers (e.g., Google Maps API), analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics for Firebase), and email service providers (e.g., Beehiiv). These providers only have access to the information necessary to perform their services for us and are contractually obligated to protect your information.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we believe it is required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • In a Business Transfer: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our App of any change in ownership.

4. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your information.

  • Access and Update: You can review and update your account information at any time through your profile settings in the App.
  • Location Services: You can enable or disable location services for the Roll Mobility App at any time through your mobile device’s settings.
  • Data Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it. To do so, please contact us at [email protected]. We will process your request in accordance with applicable laws. Please note that we may retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes, such as resolving disputes or for backup and archival purposes.
  • Communications: You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and administrative security measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email, through the App, or by posting the new policy on our website and updating the “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
