FAQ.
How do I get the new version of Roll?
Update Roll from the App Store or Google Play. It is the same app, so you don’t need a new download, and your account and reviews carry over.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to look at places on the map. You need a free account to write reviews, post, join groups and earn points.
What do the colors on the map mean?
Each pin is colored by its score: green, amber or red. A place has two scores, one for the venue and one for the restroom, both worked out from reviewers’ answers. Tap a pin to see the scores, photos and reviews. More about the map.
How do I write a review?
Open a place on the map or search for it, then tap Add a Review. Answer the questions, add photos if you like, and tap Tag this place to mark features like an adult changing table. More about reviews.
What are sensory ratings?
When you review a place, you can also rate its noise, light, smell and crowds, and note the day and time you went. More about sensory ratings.
How do points work?
You earn 10 points for the first review of a place, 5 for any other review, and 1 for replying to or liking a review. Points add up to a rank and badges on your profile. More about The Honor Roll.
A place’s details are wrong or out of date. What can I do?
Add a new review with what you found, or post a snapshot so others see the change on the map. If something needs our attention, send us a message below.
Who can see my reviews and posts?
Reviews, photos, comments, your username and your profile picture are public. Please don’t share anything in them you want to keep private. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Why does Roll ask for my location?
Roll uses your location to show places near you, and only while you are using the app. You can turn location off in your phone’s settings, but the map will not know where you are.
How do I delete my account?
Email [email protected] and ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it. Our Privacy Policy explains what we may need to keep.
What languages is Roll in?
Roll is in 16 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, Welsh, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Indonesian and Vietnamese.
